Does Rainbow Montessori provide a place for a child with additional needs?
A place will always be available for a child with additional needs once the appropriate assistance, if required, is provided through the AIM programme.
Three of our Early Educators are qualified in the Leadership for INClusion in Early Years from University of Limerick and the Mary Immaculate College Limerick.

Do the children go outside to play?
Yes, we have a large secure fenced in area outdoor where the children can take part in supervised free play and organised games and activities.

Are the staff fully qualified to teach the Montessori curriculum?
Yes, all teachers are fully qualified in the Montessori Curriculum and three of our Early Years Educators have a BA degree in Early Childhood Care and Education.

Is Rainbow Montessori Sutton an Accredited Montessori School?
Yes, our accreditation certificate is on display in the classroom.

Do the children have to bring a lunch or snack?
Yes, each child should bring a healthy snack and drink of water only. Their water bottle is available to them throughout the entire day.

Do the same age children sit together?
No, the children are mixed at each table so that the younger children can learn by observing the older children while they work. We rotate each child’s place on a regular basis.

Can a child attend both morning and afternoon class?
Unfortunately this is not possible, as this is a sessional childcare service.

Does my child need to be toilet trained?
Yes, preferably but exceptions are made to facilitate all children as best we can.
